Peninsula Providore Farm Seasonal Showcase

Fleurieu Peninsula

ATDW pixel
Peninsula Providore Farm is a family owned and operated business growing olive trees on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. Mel Hollick and her team look after 17,000 olive trees across their Currency Creek and Nangkita olive groves. Mel comes from a wine industry background and is taking her years of experience and knowledge to ensure they make estate grown extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality. Being a small, family owned olive grove, each of their 8 varieties are picked separately and looked after separately in small batches until a rigorous tasting process occurs to create their three extra virgin olive oil styles each year.

They also make their own table olives, using traditional Kalamata, green manzanillo, and are also experimenting with the deliciously delicate Koroneiki.

The Peninsula Providore Farm shop is open to visitors the first weekend of the month, or by appointment. Here visitors may taste the extra virgin olive oil and speak directly with Mel to learn about their farm and how they are creating such world class extra virgin olive oils. Visitors may enjoy a tasting platter featuring Peninsula Providore and other local producers wares, accompanied by wines from Precious Little Wines, or local beers and gin.
